Do you still call your parents’ friends Mr. or Mrs. so and so?

Easy solution: Just don't address them by their names when you talk to them. I was a disrespectful prick when I was a kid, so I never called any grown up sir or ma'am or ever addressed them by their name. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.
My friend’s mom told me to call her by her first name like 5 years ago so I just don’t directly address her by name.

@johnnynoname something I said, sir?

No one likes to be called ma’am but I think saying Mr. or Mrs. is reasonable.
It's weird to be in a conversation with someone and refer to them as that. It's like when you're in school and you referred to teachers as Mr. and Mrs. because you didn't actually know their first names. Are you from some part of the South where they actually teach white kids respect, what's going on here?

Not from the South. I remember my dad calling his fawtha’s friends like that and it always stuck with me. I think it’s respectful but your argument about it making people feel old is valid.

Johnny No Name has a problem with me because I trigger him because I talk about wrestling from the good ol' days, and he's still miffed about WCW going out of business.

I'm not American and I've never called anyone Mr or Mrs anything. I think we used to do that in the 50s. Always called adults, teachers, bosses, etc by their first name.

Nice being stuck in the past, stupid.

Yeah. But even here, you call your male superiors "mate" because, well, why are you in conversation with someone if someone is clearly above? Nobody's stupid, we all know who calls the shots.

Bosses? Yeah because I didn’t work anywhere until I was older and there’s no way I’d call my boss Mr. anything but calling teachers by their first name is pretty foreign (:pfg_sm:) to me.
