Yes - I have a good job that pays well and is low stress and in a field I’m interested in - I’m not rich but not living paycheck to paycheck so I’m comfortable - i own my place and bought at the right time (didn’t overpay / low interest rate) - I have been investing over time so I have a steady stream of dividends that pay my utility bills and all in all I don’t let things bother me or obsess over politics so I’m a pretty happy guy.

I had my first kid last year relatively late in life (34) and I immediately started looking down on people without kids. Haha.

Obviously some people can't have them, some can't find someone to love and to love them etc. The only childless types I find sad are those like Pat and Niki (though obviously he has a kid he abandoned and is garbage). The types who are basically "grown up" enough to get married and buy property, but too immature to give up the constant instant gratification and material masturbation of being a childless couple by choice. Maybe that works for some, it just seems like a very hollow and meaningless existence to me.

I have a strong love for rescue dogs and love seeing a dog with a hard life (through no fault of their own due to a shitty owner etc) go to a nice home and live a great life so maybe that’s my idea of children.

As someone who doesn't have kids, you should look down on us. We're genetic dead-ends. That's not some fun little zinger to throw out, it's the fuckin' truth and it matters. The most fundamental aspect of our lives is to reproduce and we've failed. We can still live honorable and worthwhile lives but attempts at trivializing the fact that you're arguing about politics with someone that has no skin in the game...nah, you're right to call us out on that.
