Hard to name another artist that can sing,dance,play an instrument at the same time. Plenty can do two out of the three but not all three at once. Plus he was proficient at a bunch of instruments and was self taught.

It's always very funny to me when an amateur guitar hobbyist tries to pretend he's a peer of other, real musicians who actually created and accomplished things, like merely knowing how to play guitar gives them a perspective that "civilians" could never understand. Joe's far from the only one, but he's easily the most buffoonish.

People are allowed to like or dislike what they want, but there’s no denying he was an extremely gifted artist. He wrote several records that, for me, are perfect.

This will sound bizarre to anyone under the age of 40 (and maybe also to those over it) but there was a time when certain music was as close as a minor in my rural home county could get to legally possessing porn. Prince had a lot of hyper-sexual songs that sound positively quaint and tame now, but at the time were controversial — the male counterpart to Madonna. All in all, I think he’s still underrated.
