Did Walt have to kill Gale? Did Walt need to kill Gus?

Walt is chaos

Even though he likens himself to something more cerebral (hence his alter ego being named "Heisenberg") everything he does is chaotic.

He's also a catalyst who sends everyone involved with him in some sort of talespin.

so, he doesn't have to kill anyone....however, everything he comes into contact with gets fucked one way or another

By the time Jesse kills Gale, Gus has already sanctioned the hits on both Walt and Jesse. And Gus tells Gale that he needs to learn the meth formula quickly because Walt will be dying earlier than when the cancer would have taken him. Gus also used child soldiers and dealers which Jesse was against. And Walt basically always sides with Jesse until Jesse tries to kill Walt and burn his house down.

It was Gus that messed everything up. All Gus had to do was rely on high end dealers and not used children to peddle his drugs. Instead of siding with two genius chemists that make millions of dollars a week for him. Gus sides with two spic street gangsters who might make $100K a year on an up year. For what reason? And even more retarded is that Gus meets with two known street dealers and murderers in the open.

The show is retarded.

The show should've been more nuanced with that plotline. Gus was so far up the food chain that he never should've been meeting with dealers. Or they could've had some elaborate set up in which the sit meant to diffuse Jesse's anger was between him and some mid-level dealer.

Given how brutal Gus is capable of being, you'd think there would be a backstory to why he didn't kill that dude for involving kids from the get-go.

When Gus showed up the show turned into a cartoon. With those retarded terminator twin brothers as the icing on the cake.

It was still entertaining but there were too many coincidences and ‘cool’ moments.

Gus didn’t care about the kids one way or the other. He was singularly driven to get revenge on the cartel for killing his butt buddy. Anyone who worked under Gus was just a tool for him to achieve that.

Better Call Saul actually addressed this.

It was revealed in season 6 that Gus is a faggot. So the likelihood that he's a pedo is much higher. Also peds like involving children with their lives as much as possible.

Genius Vince does it again. Most people would have to re-watch BB and BCS 5 times to make that connection. Truly masterful.

Mike says Walt ruined a good thing

but did he ruin it for himself and jesse?

wouldnt gus have killed jesse and or walt eventually?

did mike not realize it and walt did?
Gus had the best of both worlds with Jesse a mimbo top notch cook without the direct know how that he could easily manipulate while getting rid of a potential rival.

Didn’t we know that Gus was a faggot all along? I haven’t watched better call Saul but I always thought it was very obvious that the Chicken “brother” wasn’t his brother, they were fucking.

The "brother" could have been the guy that the Salamancas shot in the flashback.

They never made it obvious.

BCS didn't confirm it either -- just made it obvious, if that makes sense. Imagine a 10-minute scene of Gus talking to a manager of a fancy restaurant about wine.

Yeah that’s what I’m talking about. Seemed clear to me that was his lover and the other chicken brother.
