Lol you’re assuming the Democrats are competent…they are masters at overestimating themselves and sunk cost fallacy. They will push Bidens corpse to the next debate hoping for a final push to change peoples minds, as if thats ever going to happen.

A lot of people don't care enough to follow Biden enough and figure criticisms are all fake news. Not even the CNN democrat pundits were defending Biden or doing whataboutism with Trump. Trump dodged all Jan 6 questions but Biden is just cooked mentally and I really think we're going to see a candidate change.

The biggest problem is SERIOUSLY that they have no one to replace him with. Every Democrat that has any name recognition its for a divisive reason (think Newsom). Or they can pick a complete unknown to run against a dude who was already President, and who lost to the guy you just retired. I seriously feel like if Biden died in October they’d rather just not tell anyone and have people vote for his corpse in November.

I firmly believe that the way you beat Trump is to ignore him and/or just chuckle whenever his name is mentioned. Getting into pissing contests with him is always a bad idea, as he's really good at them. After all these years, the retarded Dems still don't realize this. I assume Biden and his team figured they'd just call Trump out as a felon and a fraud, and expose him as a joke, but what they always fail to grasp is that none of that matters. Very few people out there are on the fence, thinking "hmmm, I can't decide between these two guys", and playing it that way is a big, stupid mistake.

Remember in like 2021-22 when he would only call Trump “my predecessor” or straight up not refer to him at all? That was nice. It felt like we were actually moving past the guy. Then by 23-24 with all the criminal trials and how hard he trounced the primary (without even showing up to debates, and facing criminal / civil trials), it somehow moved the Biden campaign to go on the offensive. It literally doesn’t matter what Trump is found guilty of. Odds are you already think he did it or didn’t do it. Saying he’s a convicted felon might as well be saying he’s been accused of something.

If either party elected a guy who wasn’t spectacular but was just 40 years old, they would easily beat the other guy. Trump I can at least understand why he’s back - the voters want him. But Biden is being kept around purely because he beat Trump in 2020 with no forethought as to how you can replicate that in 2024. (You can’t. The deciding issue of 2020 was COVID and that shit ain’t around now)

Their official reasoning was that the original debates by the commission were too close to election day and would happen after voting started. Give them a fair chance!

However the obvious reason was a test run, by both parties, to see how either can handle themselves unscripted / against the other. Biden failed more than Trump in this department. Now the next debate coincidentally happens in September. So one before the DNC / RNC and one after. Schinkle bout it…
