Maybe its just the photo, but the other Les Pauls look wider, gibson makes a ton of student models that look narrow like that so kids can get their arms around them. You see them for sale all over the place because most kids never play them and quit. I've also seen student models where they cut holes in the wood to keep them lighter. Either way, Joe's a douche.

Gibson makes the Les Paul which for some reason became more popular than the regular SG. Since we are talking about it, I never played much but the SG's were sweet guitars, sounded amazing and were comfortable to play either sitting down or standing up. All the rich kids (or thieves/ drug dealer types) always had to have Les Pauls and always had to have the Jimmy Page starburst one. In the 80s, a nice les paul was over $1000 but the SG which was nicer sounding, easier to play and easier to maintain was around $350. What was I missing here?
