After his divorce he gave up the whole nerd thing and started working out, getting into muscle cars, going to football games etc. He was trying to show Adrienne that she fucked up. We've all been there after a bad breakup where you get back into shape and then your ex see's you all fit and wants to fuck again. At least I have. Once he "got the girl!", he gave all that up because he didn't have to put effort in anymore and add in the stress of constantly dealing with atalkers and here we are 75 pounds later.
