- Mr. Tomlinson's feud started after members of the now-defunct Reddit site r/opieandanthony got his Twitter account suspended, causing him to threaten some bored trolls who never heard of him with a libel lawsuit. The trolls responded predictably.
- Mr. Tomlinson has been instructed many times by friends, family, police, and attorneys to stop engaging with his trolls, and that continuing to provoke them will cause him to be trolled even more. Mr. Tomlinson wilfully ignores this advice
- He would eventually file a defamation suit against 60 anonymous people which was dismissed with Mr. Tomlinson being ordered to pay $34,762.25 for opposing parties' attorney fees.
- He ended up paying $83,736.99 due to his unsuccessful attempts to dodge the court-ordered judgement, for which he faced jail time and contempt charges.
- He also filed 2 frivolous restraining orders against people who had engaged in First Amendment-protected behavior (one for texting him and another for attending his contempt of court hearing), both of which were dismissed.
- Early on in the lawsuit, Mr. Tomlinson vandalized his own motorcycle and submitted a false police report blaming the people he was suing.
- He accidentally sent surveillance video of the alleged vandal (himself) to a troll.
- Mr. Tomlinson has never shown this video footage during any of his media tours, and desperately tries to scrub it from the internet.
- Mr. Tomlinson claims that the surveillance video was initiated by his "motion-activated" camera, which only collects "30 seconds at a time", despite the video being 32 seconds long and beginning several seconds before the "vandal" enters into the frame.
- On 13 April 2023, the individual responsible for calling the fake emergencies (SWATs) to Mr. Tomlinson's house, a SWAT-for-hire dealer named "Torswats", revealed that Mr. Tomlinson ordered the SWATs to his own house because he wanted to get in the news and sue the MPD for money.
- Torswats would repeat these allegations in private chats which were not intended for public view.
- Mr. Tomlinson has gone on multiple news tours since the SWATtings started in order to promote his victimhood brand, utilizing the services of Lenora Claire.
- He also recently sued the MPD for money.

Probably this place for part of my honeymoon.
It was nice but not as fancy as the price would make it seem. Just because it’s way out in the middle of nowhere.
I’m not really an expensive hotel guy, I think it’s a waste of money because I don’t hang out in hotel rooms. Normally I just pick a clean, safe, and comfortable place in the location I want to be in and don’t worry about luxury bullshit.

You can usually tell it’s a nice hotel if you need a room key to use the elevator.

I’ve never understood staying in a nice hotel. As long as there are no bedbugs and my shit won’t get stolen that’s all I want. I’m gonna spend all my time out and about.
Some perks with the higher level hotel rooms can be great. Full sized kitchen, automatic breakfast room service. Private hot tub or balcony hot tub. Small home theater setup to unwind. For business trips where you are not walking around the city as a tourist these things can be a massive relief when you just need to relax but keep close to the business side. Or if you have small kids and might need to turn down early you can get some nice comforts in the room.

Once I stayed at the courtyard Marriott in Tacoma. It was luxury beyond the imagination of everyone here besides @NewJersey.gov
I can do without, but the Tokyo and Osaka Conrads were pretty nice. However, a lot of entitled douchebags and middle-aged Chinese dudes dressed like BackStreet Boys or some other soft "hip-hop"-adjacent look. The Oceana in Santa Monica was chill. Felt more like a fancy motel, but it's because they were apartments at one point, IIRC.

Or you're in Portland. That place was about as bad as expected, street-people-wise. One of the hotels that I stayed at had their doors to the outside locked 24/7. You could use your card, or use an intercom, but they'd just buzz you in as soon as they saw you, assuming that you were wearing pants and not covered in blood and shit.

I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that had room for more than a bed and a mini bathroom.
First trip me and my wife took we had an incredible Airbnb in NorCal. I rented a Yukon Denali Max for the trip, she did the accommodations for the nights we weren't with family. I had no idea she spent a lot of money and I didn't tell her I rented us a boat to drive around in. The place was tucked into a little valley just west of Tahoe. The place was small but it had a great pool and hot tub that had great views. Driving the Denali fucking sucked around there tho, and around SF
