I know Opie often got in the way of a good riff, but Ant and Jim talk about the stupidest shit when they are together without Opie and the producers he put in place. Sam is a good producer. I know everyone hates him, he was a really good producer.

Most of the producers Opie brought in were good at finding subjects Ant and Jim could succeed with.

The three of them need each other.

Not on radio, but they need a platform. Anthony already has one. It may be too damn late now, but if they had broken off and did what Rogan did, they would’ve been seen as heroes of free-speech.

It was their perfect opportunity. We can make fun of them all we want, but they were still extremely popular with their core of fans. They would never have gotten as big as Rogan, who credits them with helping to inspire his own show. But compared to where they are now? They missed a golden opportunity. They could’ve set themselves up as a relatively apolitical show, since their politics are pretty mixed, that stood up for the first amendment.

They could’ve opened themselves up to a whole new audience if they had framed the situation properly, in addition to retaining their old listeners.

As someone who works a bullshit 9-5 like many assholes here, its infuriating they pissed away a job making good money and basically just shooting the shit all morning. Just be grown fuckin men

Look at the top podcasts now. Joe Rogan is the biggest in the world and he was a glorified O&A wack packer. They should all be so grateful that O&A broke up because they would still be up to antics if motivated.
