Maybe you should go through the list of Palme d'Or winners. At least those movies tend to be interesting.

Highly recommend Taste of Cherry to everyone, though it might be a bit niche. It won Palme d’Or some time in the 90s. Easily one of my favorites now.

I’ve only seen Taste of Cherry so I can’t really judge his movies as a whole. I can see why people think he’s overrated although I disagree
