Cool, i’ve never played the Dead Space games. How spooky are they? I’m not a big fan of horror games in general, but i love games with horror elements like Bioshock and SOMA.

Not terrible. You play a woman who's searching for her brother inside a government paranormal investigative agency that looks straight out of the 60s. As you explore the building, you get add-ons to your gun, abilities like levitation awhile using familiar Jedi force throw mechanics to toss desks/boxes/rocks at baddies.

Hardly a great game, but it's held my interest for about (checks Steam) 18 hours and I feel like I'm close to the end. Not a shitton of side missions; I loved the side missions in Witcher and Cyberpunk, but I'm thankful there aren't too many here.

Navigating through the agency building is a pain in the ass until you start unlocking fast travel points. Super repetitive but the Altered Item (mini-boss) battles can be a nice change of pace.

Has a loose narrative tie-in to Alan Wake which is interesting. Happened upon a memo that referenced AW and some of the plot points of that game. Used to skip through all that world-building lore - who has the time, friends?! - but I've started reading in-game shit like letters and item descriptions. It doesn't really add too much to my enjoyment of the game, for the most part, but sometimes I'll read something that gets a chuckle.

I was going to buy Control for cheap on Epic games a couple of years ago. I like Alan Wake though.

I'm playing Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi atm.. it's a Japanese dungeon crawler/rpg.. it's PFG, it's pretty dark and the game is reminiscent of the old Japanese dungeon crawlers which can be an acquired tasted.
