I was considering getting one but you can get a ps4 pro for a third of the price, which has pretty much the same performance and runs all the same games. I really don't get why so many tards have been clamoring to get one.

It doesn't have the same performance. Most games on PS5 are native 4k or run at 60/120fps. You can choose. It's also quiet compared to the jet engine that is the PS4 Pro. Plus, most future Sony exclusives will be only on PS5 and not on Pro.

They even patched older games like Horizon, TLOU2, Days Gone, Ghosts of Tsushima to run at 60fps and they don't blow your eardrums out anymore. I was very happy to get rid of the PS4 Pro because you had to wear headphones to play any game.

I would say get a PS5 if you have a decent 4k TV with HDR but maybe stick with Pro if you don't. Also, the new controller is way better.

I forgot to add that load times are insane. The SSD is crazy fast and its also upgradeable. Spider-Man loads from menu to game in about 2 seconds.

I have one and it's insane to me that after how many years this thing has been out there isn't a single good exclusive on it. God of War is terrible with some of the worst writing and characters that never shut the fuck up, Horizon Zero Yawn is the same level of awful but with a woman who never shuts up and really good graphics that are completely wasted on it, don't even get me started on the Demon's Souls remake that BluePoint butchered and ruined any bit of "soul" the original had by, you guessed it, niggers and zero subtlety in design. The new Final Fantasy looks good but that's probably coming to PC. The same could be said about the PS4 although Bloodborne is on that so it has 1 good exclusive. PS3 has plenty that have never come out on anything else and in my eyes is the last good console.

Oh yeah I agree with this. The adaptive triggers are cool as hell. I thought people were exaggerating or trying to cope when all I heard about the PS5 was the controller being amazing but it really is.

I'm dot loying. OK they're not the same obviously but there's not enough reason to spend that money on one right now. What games are available for them that you can only play on ps5? Last of Us remake and Demon's Souls remake? Fuck paying $600 just for that.

I got one for retail and sold it for double. Kind of regret it though. Might pivot to pc gaming
