I don't care for basketball in the least, nor even understand it, but this is a silly argument to make about any sport.

It's simple apples to oranges. Or gnus to gazelles, if you prefer and it helps not to get lost in the weeds of "they're all fruits though" (said with love, by a fruit)

We don't have intergender sports for a reason--or, we shouldn't--so to say "durr hurr a mens' Sunday League/boys' youth team could beat an adult pro womens' team" is reductive and irrelevant, because they'll never play each other anyhow, and no-one's comparing womens' stats with mens'. Even the audiences for each aren't the same.
