I like Anthony, so I hope he turns things around. This really is his last chance for any "mainstream" success. My advice to him would be

1. drop all the compound media stuff for a bit. there is no way he is making any money from it anyways
2. only do 1 day a week. this should allow him to actually prepare for a show and not just retell old O&A stories and complain about the days news

WABC isnt some rinky dink AM station. It reaches probably 10 million people in the NYC area and was a pretty big deal station for a long time. For years they broadcasted the Yankees games, Imus, etc. Like all radio stations they are on the downswing, but its still pretty impressive that Ant was able to get a job here.

That being said, we all know how this is going to end. He's going to half ass it and put out terrible shows for a few months until he says something super racist on twitter and gets himself fired. Even if he does wind up being the next Rush Limbaugh from this, it would be short lived since he has so much shit in his past that he could be cancelled anytime.

Nana is simply not a host. He has no sense of pacing, he has trouble staying on topic, he never creates any actual content, bits, or gags. He pretty much just freestyles it, and talks about whatever is on his mind, which is inevitably Twitter, and just riffs on it randomly. After doing his own podcast for ten years, he never improved at it either. He rehashes his tired "back in the day" stories, he rants about the niggers, he makes his handful of ancient pop-culture references, and he mindlessly titters to kill time. No identifiable bits, running gags, segments, or anything. He thinks he can simply carry the show himself, and bullshit his way through it. But the talent just isn't there.

As I said earlier, they are probably bought up for tax purposes. The Cold War Era and even before had vested interested in radio stations for emergency purposes. 24/7 Emergency Broadcasting in case of a nuclear strike is one of them. Severe weather, etc. So there’s a lot of old legislature still intact incentivizing these businesses to own and operate/staff them. Most things are automated now, and you can hire an engineer who can do 99% of his job remotely for cheap (this was even years ago, not since covid). He can even fix fillers and all of the pre-recorded garbage the part time staff accomplishes by noon. I would assume nobody is actually making a profit without including government subsidies/grants/tax relief. AntH is basically a radio welfare nigger in other words.
