The only reason actors become stars is because a lot of idiots subconsciously associate them with the people they play. Every other person can do exactly what they do after some acclimatization.

Back when they weren't being recorded and there was no way to associate their faces with characters, actors were basically gypsies, but now they're 'artists'.
