I will be updating this thread daily throughout the month.
My son and I started with No One is Coming to Save You (2023) on the 31st as a little bonus feature.
CG was terrible but understandable for its budget and I didn’t fully grasp the motivations of the aliens in the final act, yet I still enjoyed it overall. I’m sure I’ll have forgotten this movie within a year but I enjoyed passing the time with it.
Anyway on to the movies:
Oct 1 - Halloween (1978)
No commentary needed.
Oct 2 - The Descent 2
Haven’t seen this since release. It was much worse than I remembered. I still enjoyed it but I have low standards. The first one manages to have strong characters with complex relationships and explores trauma and loss. This one is pretty much just a monster movie. Also very enjoyable to see all these British actors pretending to be rural Americans for me at least. I don’t mind the retconning of the 1st movies ending either before someone brings that up, it’s called suspension of disbelief, faggots.
