I will be updating this thread daily throughout the month.

My son and I started with No One is Coming to Save You (2023) on the 31st as a little bonus feature.

CG was terrible but understandable for its budget and I didn’t fully grasp the motivations of the aliens in the final act, yet I still enjoyed it overall. I’m sure I’ll have forgotten this movie within a year but I enjoyed passing the time with it.

Anyway on to the movies:

Oct 1 - Halloween (1978)

No commentary needed.

Oct 2 - The Descent 2

Haven’t seen this since release. It was much worse than I remembered. I still enjoyed it but I have low standards. The first one manages to have strong characters with complex relationships and explores trauma and loss. This one is pretty much just a monster movie. Also very enjoyable to see all these British actors pretending to be rural Americans for me at least. I don’t mind the retconning of the 1st movies ending either before someone brings that up, it’s called suspension of disbelief, faggots.

He said the famous jumpscare scene was rated the greatest in horror movie history. No idea if that's true?

Shudder mentioned it in their documentary on the subject.

I didn't even know she was still alive

The Exorcist: Believer. Without knowing the outcome.

The black girl doesn't die.
This old woman sacrifices herself to save the kids. They might even throw in, her fallen down stairs.

I'll get back track with this thread.

Thank you. I avoided horror movies for the most part when I was younger. I always seen that per movie you were less likely to find a good movie if it was in that genre. So I skipped them entirely. When I was around 25 I started getting into them, love them now. But I’m behind quite a bit and it’s probably my favorite now.

It’s excellent. Showed it to my son earlier this year and it held up. It manages to have “strong female characters” without them being faggot caricatures.
Yeah it came out before all the nigger (woman/Jewish) nonsense, I believe.

Where you at with Rosemary’s baby? It’s a slow burn it’s not actually scary but since my first viewing I’ve rewatched it many times. That horrible kike pedophile can direct very well.

It’s an all-timer but I’ve only watched it once.

Rosemarys Baby is great. Those dream sequences are the closest I've ever seen a film capturing the true flow and feeling of an actual dream. The movie itself isn't scary, but has an unsettling vibe for sure.

While I would put it on the shelf with the horror movies at blockbuster, it’s actually a dark supernatural drama
