Yeah, I agree - the law court system is mostly pretty objective.
You always get the odd weird example of a judge going crazy, or strange sentences being handed out. But mostly... the system works.
It takes a long time, it costs a lot of money, but (Jim Norton voice....) those guys don't play games!
You can't just rock into court saying "But they are fascists! That means like Hitler!" and win your case like you were on Twitter or something. You will get some Shapiro wannabe on your ass STRAIGHT away with his facts and logics all sharpened.
There could be a good Medium think-piece in that: "How the legal system is failing liberals".
Written from both the point of view of the average millennial who thinks that having 20% of journalists being mentally ill black-identifying transsexuals is perfectly normal and should be enabled, and also from the point of view of right thinking individuals who want nothing more than Patrick Tomlinson types permanently suspended from public discourse for good.
