IMO one of the better nuclear apocalypse films. The Day After has its place but is just hokey compared to Threads. Testament was a fucking snoozefest.

The only movie I've bought immediately after viewing it. Watched Threads three times over two weeks and it never lost its impact.
I consider it horror in the truest sense of the word. I was more cheerful after watching Come and See than I was with Threads.

Incredible movie. Widely available online for free too. One question I have is at the very end, what exactly were all those post-bomb retard kids doing unraveling the fabric and threads in the classroom?

I think they were doing it to reuse the fibers. That and symbolism of unraveling, I guess.

We watched it in school around the year 2004 and at first were laughing about the 80s feel of it all. We soon watched it in silence.
A lot of my family were from the place that gets blown up and some even worked at the first airbase that gets bombed. It's always stayed with me. I would always want to be vaporised.
