the extended version is an improvement but the book is still better. though some things they had to change because it just wouldn't work on screen. like the nature of Ozymandias' whole plot

I like the movie (it's better than Snyder's other DC shitpiles), but the glorification of violence during the fight scenes is the exact opposite of what Alan Moore intended. And the reveal that The Comedian was Silk Spectre's father was way worse in the movie. And Dr Manhattan needed to speak the fuck up, because he is barely audible.
