I listened since Returnal but Replica is when I became a big fan of his. I'd say give his stuff another listen and see if it clicks.

Are you talking about pre 2001 Autechre? Confield has to be one of the least accessible albums ever released.

That’s how I felt listening to this. It needs some drums or something. It’s like Autechre without the rhythm.

No doubt. I like all of their stuff because it runs of the gamut of rhythm and texture. Confield I haven't listened to in a minute, it's challenging for sure. Contrast that record with LP5 or Anvil Vapre and it's night and day
