I never played the second one but the first and third ones blew my fucking mind at the times they came out. I need to play the third one again. I remember it looking better on Xbox 360 than most of the shit out today.

Third one is great with an even better soundtrack. I can't remember if it came out after Red Dead Redemption or before but if it was after it's the last good Rockstar game.

the first one's the best overall, the third one plays the best (minus the interminable unskippable cutscenes), the second one is fucking worthless. who really wanted a dumb romance between a character you see for five seconds in the first game? they also turned bullet time into a literal superpower. I also preferred the first game's canned death animations over the second's three stooges ragdoll physics

My game autosaved on me as I fell off a building and died in a fire. That was really gay. I'll never forget the first 10 times I tried to will a different outcome and having to watch his stupid fuckin xbox face and his arms waving around as I died

bro- those little cut scenes of Max meeting up with that old cop in vacation (showing Max what his life could have been) got me grabbing my chest.

I can't even replay the game solely because of those cut scenes
