Those things they use for the promo images, the nice things. They gift those to game developers as a random thank you for hard work and then they fleece the consumer. Honestly, good for everyone all around. Consumers learn they are idiots, studios fleece them while also possibly teaching many a future lesson and fucking themselves, and the game developers themselves get a crumb of appreciation for their many hours overtime. What's not to love?
