I get bagged salads and put the popcorn chicken in it. Makes up for the subpar quality of the food by thinking of it as an ingredient for other food.

Having them say "my pleasure" when taking your order, bringing it to you, coming around asking if you want a refill, etc is how all restaurants should train their staff. I've never gone into a chik fil a and worry about someone working behind the counter jumping over and starting to fight with a customer. It's like 1955 in chik fil a and it's tremendous. I'm saying we should go BACK to the way things used to be!

And the people who say chik fil a doesn't respect the gays or trans weirdos can go jump in a lake. Let me have my chicken sandwich and peach milkshake in peace without being called a bigot.

I was on a road trip and stopped at a chick fil a outside of the baltimore area and man, food and service were awful. A few Whites working there but it was mostly blacks. Terrible all around.

I tend to like really crispy double-floured fried chicken. If I'm going to eat fried chicken it should be really bad for me. That said, I went to Paula Dean's restaurant near Gatlinburg, TN and her recipe is very lightly floured and it was some of the best I've ever had.

If y'all cooks be in the mood for it, she shared her recipe during covid and it's worth making.

Final note, WWAWD biscuits? Popeye's used to have the best, hands down, but they changed something and they're not as good. So I learned to make home made biscuits and they're better than anything I can buy from any restaurant. I kinda think I should move abroad and make American-style breakfasts for expats. I'd make a fucking fortune.

You're all mentioning good stuff, but WWAW Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken? It was started by Col. Sanders' nephew after KFC was sold back in the '60s. Kind of an old lady church potluck taste, which maybe ain't the fanciest, but never disappoints. Probably the closest to OG KFC from the pre-Extra Crispy days.

Yeah I was going in southern Idaho/Oregon. I know there’s some in Utah. None around me now so I do I make them myself. The copycat recipe isn’t complicated at all and when we do it I eat a shitload of it. Do it with tenders sometimes too. Basically tossing the chicken in flour/cayenne pepper and chilling it for awhile and the sauce is basically Franks Red Hot(not wing kind, just regular) and brown sugar. I dont usually put all the sugar in there cuz visually it looks like alot lol. Such good stuff. They used to bring out bowls of popcorn when you sat down. Great place
