Couldn't get past the first episode of season 4. Black girl in 50s or whatever rural America who's a mathematical genius and wittily back-talking all her teachers. Yuck.

I saw the first episode. It was pretty good. They seem to be doing some alternate reality version of the movie plot. Kidnapped wife of a dopey car salesman with rich inlaws. I didn't hate it outright anyway

He's an alcoholic. In typical actor fashion, he apparently became a drunk towards the end of Mad Men. Some might say he was depressed that the role of his lifetime was coming to an end, but that's probably giving him too much credit. More likely he just blurred the line between Don Draper and himself, empty vessel that they often are.
He was so good in that show, but couldn't make the Clooney leap from TV to movie stardom.

The movie was about a car salesman whose wife was kidnapped. This season is about a car salesman whose wife is kidnapped but escapes because she's stunning and brave. So it's like the movie if it wanted to be Captain Marvel.

Clooney got lucky with the Ocean's movies. He was one of the last guys to be a real movie star, even if most of his work is forgettable. Hamm was just a bit too late.
At least he's got a giant prick so it's not all bad for him.
