WWAWD Descendants

Probably one of the best and most influential bands of the last 40 years that never had any real mainstream success. Milo Goes To College, I Don't Want To Grow Up and Everything Sucks are masterpieces which have stood the passage of time. I can still remember hearing Hope and Coolidge in a Vision Skateboard video and being blown away. Just watched Filmage again on Amazon prime a couple of nights ago and if you're into punk and haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it. Black Flag and All are good bands but they're not in the same league in my book.

God I wish I were a teenager again.
As a dad with teenagers I thank god I was a teenager before cellphones, social media and with the internet just starting up. I don't think teenage me would have ever left my room if we had internet porn back then. I got 3 step kids and my oldest daughter thru high school and into college with no issues but that's more a credit to them then anything else but I'm legit scared shitless for my 13 year old son growing up in this fucked up time. Even the days he stays with his mom I make sure I either pick him up or drop him off at school just so we can spend time and talk on the ride.

Didn't know they had a documentary. Will check it out. It's definitely time and place music for angry teenagers, but I still have some of it on my playlists. Very catchy songs. Bikeage, Myage and I'm Not a Loser still slap, child. But Suburban Home is probably my favorite.

Yeah I did find right when I turned 12 so it caught me at the right time. They do have some newer albums but this one is from 2004 I think and is my favorite post Everything Sucks.

Saw a documentary on them once. I think the lead singer quit when they were on their way up to become a chemist or something? I've never really given them much of a listen but they're cool for sure.
Yeah Milo left to go to college and got a PhD in biology. He spent a few years as a researcher and a professor before going back to music full time a few years ago. He's a legit genius according to the lead singer of Bad Religion who also has a PhD and teaches at UCLA.

Remember how Opie would get uncomfortable when the worm would do Uncle Paul once he had kids. I had the same reaction when I first saw the picture of the Count taking that 17 year old to the prom. Seeing someone who I had found funny for so long taking advantage of that obviously damaged girl really opened my eyes to how horrible he was. It doesn't matter of it was technically legal and her parents were okay with it because it was just wrong. And the fact he had a smug little smile on my face still pisses me off. I also get uncomfortable when Bam goes after the pigs daughter's looks but it really is harmless so while I won't rib it I will chuckle to myself.

pause at 37 seconds, that's me and my brother

Ha you fell for my trap stlaker. Wait for knock. Just joshing you brotherman because I'm jealous as shit that not only did you see them back then but that's one of the most famous shows they've done since it was the best live video from that era on YouTube. I've listened to that show a shitload on YouTube while working. They're the only band that I love I haven't seen live yet but hopefully they'll tour again soon even if it won't be the same. Kind of like when I saw Page/Plant because it was the closest I'll ever get to seeing Zeppelin or when I went to see Joe Strummer. He was actually awesome but it wasn't The Clash

They rule! One of my favorite punk bands. Seen them dozens of times over the years and they always put on a great show. Milo Goes to College is up there with some of my favorite albums, but aside from Enjoy! all of their albums are really solid.

The documentary someone mentioned is called Filmage and I believe it's free on Tubi. It's really awesome and goes into about as much depth into the bands history as a music doc can. Focuses quite a bit on ALL as well.

Good band. Listened to Everything Sucks quite a bit back in the day, that was probably my favorite era of that band. Karl Alvarez is one of my favorite punk rock bass players. I like ALL quite a bit too.
Everything Sucks is great also. Have that CD somewhere. Played that album so many times in the car when I was in college. This song in particular was one of my favorites
