E. Michael Jones (maybe quoting someone else) once said "The Church is a divine institution staffed by men." I heard a priest say that the reason he doesn't get swept up in whatever the controversy of the moment is because "we think of things in terms of hundreds of years." People will continue to do dumb shit in and outside of the Church and most of it will fade into obscurity. Unless it becomes doctrine, I have nothing to worry about and don't have to go full Mel Gibson, even if it's tempting sometimes. Just focused on cleaning up my own act.
