Always loved Beats, Rhymes and Life except for that Consequence dude. He fucking sucks. Never listened to Love Movement

Low End Theory is pretty good and Midnight Marauders rules

More of a De La guy tbcfhwy

Haven't done a deep dive on De La Soul yet. Just know some of their earlier, more carefree, stuff.

Big fan of this song though, when they're more serious:

Does any De La Soul album stick out to you, as a fan, that someone like me should listen to first?

Stakes is high is a great album. Has a depressing attitude due to hop hop having become a coon show by that time.

Buhloon mindstate is really underrated. De la soul is dead is pretty dense but one of my favorites

3 Feet High and Rising my brotha

I bought it on CD for like 5 bucks 10 years ago, and then a few years ago lost it and went to buy another one...they were like 30. Since they've released a 2 disc version and now it's back down to reasonable. Thats got their hits on it and is fun the whole way though.

You know what though, I started finding out about that all of gangsta rap is chunks of different Parliament Funkadelic songs and then just most of late 80s through mid 90s rap was in general...realized some of De La Souls shit is P-Funk..you may should just deep dive into that world.
