I’m going to get a senior IT administrator job at the IRS, the benefits are pretty insane.

I work near the IRS headquarters, and it doesn't seem too shabby. Elephant & Castle seems like the popular happy hour spot, although it gets a lot of tourists who are in town to check out the museums.

Yeah they promote diversely in a lot of areas. The benefits are great. If you're early in your career a red retirement can be sweet, getting an actual pension plus 401k. Would you be working directly with users fixing problems and stuff?

Yeah I'd say take it. Fed gov is better job security than you'll get anywhere else private unless you're just insanely in demand. Just don't look up pats taxes or something, that'd prob get you fired

The pension plans are just insanely generous compared to private. You used to only do it for that reason because the wages were bad, now they are as good / better.
