In England we use a mix. Nobody says they are 1.86 meters tall but we measure height in feet, travel in miles but exercise in KM. Beer in pints milk in liters. Weight stone, lbs and even KG get used.

I am completely confused by it all.

What difference does it make what your reference system is? Metric and imperial arguments are retarded. Most measurements you're using a computer to calculate anyway. Which then converts it to binary. Computers probably think your decimal system is childish.

as a drug-person, I'm familiar with both Kilos & 1/8th ounces (but mostly kilos).

Let's put this in terms you can easily understand: 1 American = 2.5 Non-obese humans. You're welcome.

A stone is 14lbs. If you can't do your 14 times tables that's on you.
you tell 'em!

what do they actually want? Grams, Kilos, Litres, Kilometres, etc. (*/10)... or Imperial: Lbs/Oz, Feet/Miles. (*/8) - you guys mix it up as much as we do in UK. Mainland Europe is pure metric but UK said 'fuck that!' same as US did

Stone is the most obscure and worthless measurement. Brits need to get with the rest of the world and stick to Lbs or Kgs.
what about gauges when it comes to shotguns bores? that has to rank up there.

The smaller the gauge number, the larger the shotgun bore. Gauge is determined by the number of lead balls of size equal to the approximate diameter of the bore that it takes to weigh one pound. For example, it would take 12 lead balls with the same diameter as a 12-gauge shotgun bore to weigh one pound.
