But seriously folks, despite their subversive tendencies, they were a great band. Obviously primarily known for their sublime musicianship and witty lyrics, ultimately they were strong songwriters and wrote memorable tunes.

Their run of albums from Can't Buy A Thrill through to Gaucho, is up there alongside some of the top tier rock acts ever.

I respect them more than I like them. Obviously extremely talented, and I get why people are into them. Personally, they don't do much for me.

Fun (gay) story. A few years back, I was in a bar and met this retarded broad. Her name was Aja, "like the Steely Dan song!" and she was super anal about how you pronounced it. Cunt. Anyway, she starts talking about how good Steely Dan was and played some obscure song. Kinda odd for a 20-something bar skank, but hey whatever. She was really getting on my nerves, so I said "I love Steely Dan!" and played Cousin Dupree ten times in a row on the TouchTunes. Only got like 3 in before the bartender started skipping 'em, but it annoyed the shit out of her.

it really is a bummer that they scrubbed the intro will Bill Cosby from this video. Anyone have it? I plan on opening a restaurant/family fun center based entirely around the intro. Video screens of Bill Cosby at the entrance "welcome to Do It Agains! We've got miniature golf, etc etc." You lose at pinball there's a screen that says "do it again!" You want a single order or a "do it again?" Want another drink? Wanna do it again? And everyone that works there has to dress like and talk like Bill in that video.
