Can someone explain why Selena Gomez is famous at all?? Her acting was horrendous, her Spanish was horrendous and she looks like Hispanic Amy Schumer. There’s a million sexy latinas they could have got who would have been a million times better.

Then Only Murders in the Building decides they need to pair two boomer comedians with someone who'll bring their young fanbase to the show. From what I've seen she's terrible but Steve Martin & Martin Short are entertaining enough to carry her.

Only Murders becomes popular, and everyone suddenly starts pretending she's a good actress. She gets fat and gets engaged to an absolute hideous record producer to the point where all the award shows make fun of how ugly he is.

It's pretty much those two things: dating Bieber (and gaining a fanbase because of it) and then being the worst cast member on a popular show.
