I've just completed it. I'm going to play Mercenaries mode. But I'm done with the game.

This was one of my favourite Gamecube games. I'm happy with the remake. I'm glad they got rid of the QTE. And the water room wasn't as frustrating.

I just have a couple of achievements left (I like to get them all for resident evil games like a faggot) it's finish the game without healing, talking to the merchant and only using a pistol so I'm doing them all in one go. I enjoyed it a lot but Professional S+ was awful being only able to save 15 times and the only time I really got frustrated playing it. Not as good as the original in the end but still really good. I give it a solid 9.

I never played the original Resident Evil 4 until a week ago. The controls are kind of crappy, but it still holds up for an 18-year-old game. I don't know if I should play the first Resident Evil Remake or jump into the RE4 Remake. I definitely don't want to deal with the tank controls.

They have regular controls on the modern release of the GameCube one but I'd recommend getting used to tank controls since the camera shifts angles too much and makes it consistent in movement. My all time favorite one is the original remake.

The RE Remake was a gift from God. In every aspect.

I'm on my third playthrough now. I love it. I liked all the little changes they made to the story and they cleaned up the island section and made it feel like less of a slog.
Ada voice actress blows and that forced walk and talk cutscene stinks on multiple playthrough but those are my only complaints.

How are the controls? I got the OG RE4 on PC and tried to use a PS5 controller, but aiming was awful, so I used mouse and keyboard instead.

Playing it on the PS5. Controls are fine. The new counter knife is cool. But you can dodge if you read their body reactions. Not like RE3 special dodge.

The new parry mechanic rules. I like how they have it on Professional difficulty where it has to be a perfect parry to work.
