The world used to be way cooler. Mel Tillis, The Singin' Retard, could get a spokesman job for a burger chain and make light of his own dumb speech impediment. If they tried that now it'd be "Boycott Whataburger for making fun of this poor retarded man!" Like, I don't doubt you'd see a stuttering idiot as the spokesman for a restaurant, but they'd never do a fun bit with it like the staff trying to say words for him when he stutters and him changing it to a different word. I genuinely laughed. I liked the one where the staff just started the song too like "fuck this, he's stuttering again, do the song." Those were fucking great, memorable ads. There's no Whataburgers here so that was my first time seeing that.
