For reasons I'm not entirely sure of, a few friends and I used to love Garfield in grade school. When we went to my parents for Christmas once I gave my daughters some Garfield books I had from then and they thought it fucking sucked. Felt pretty lame tbqhwy.

It’s because our options were so fucking limited. I was big into Heathcliff and even fucking Archie comics because I was able to occasionally get my mom to buy them with the groceries. Fuck, I even knew all the bazooka Joe characters from saving & rereading the fucking comics on the gum wrappers
