What was the best decade of music?

In my opinions it’s the 2000’s. Lotta faaawkin problems in that era. Club music was banger, rock music was on its last legs, pop music was at its peak, alt and indie was great, rap was great. Only bad shit really was nu rap and terrible emo music.

It's a tough one man. I mostly ignore music after mid-2000s. In high school I autistically listened to 90's music only. I also love 60's and 70's music. Only recently grew to like 80's, which I always hated, as its the most dated. So I'm currently trying to avoid giving an answer, and straddle a fence that spans 4 decades. :worm

Some 70's and 90's music sounds like it could be recorded today. But 60's or 80's? Almost everything in the 80's you can tell immediately just from audio quality, or strange choices in samples. They really hadn't figured out all that digital shit yet. 60's can sound pretty damn good with remasters, they hadn't gone crazy yet with computers. It seems all they can do for 80's is just compress and add reverb, or pan instruments and then call it a day.

I love Nu Metal which I have recently been informed by young retards is now being called "divorced dad rock" which makes me want to abort an entire generation.

How could anyone think the 2000s was the best decade of music? Was anything even new? It was just continuation of 90s styles circling the drain as the Jew machine recycled whatever cliches were left. The music was secondary to over the top degeneracy/faggotry going on in the music videos, as music itself was fading in relevance as the newer generation was more interested in video games & having sex with Japanese cartoons :image_9250:.

"Indie" music by the mid 2000s was gentrified by larping trust fund Pitchfork nerds who thought having pretentiously long effeminate band names (Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah! <-- GAY) & 26 members playing stupid "quirky" instruments equated to mad genius tier. Arcade Fire is just average music glitzed up with over flamboyant melodramatic performances to confuse gullible faggots into thinking it's something amazing. Mediocre rich liberal faggots coming in & redefining what "greatness" is so the bar is low enough for them to reach.

Pop music "peaked" in a terrible way, literally reduced to goyim children tap dancing for demonic TV Jews. Pop aesthetic swallowed up other popular genres & then all popular music had the same over-processed plastic sheen & dumbed downness. 2000s rap was dominated by low IQ mumbling southerners.

Added nails in coffin were production trends of brickwalling dynamic range & quantizing everything to grid. Now all production sounds like a congested boombox about to explode & quantizing makes human performances sound sterilized & soulless. Everyone also collectively downgraded audio standards. Streaming & mp3's are lower quality than CD's. Boomers that once had hi-fi systems now have Chinese soundbars.

All I know is I've never heard anyone who can remember any decade before the 2000s talk about the music like it was a great era (unless they're retarded/gay).

Great album. "Winterlong" is one of Neil Young's best songs.

His greatest hits is a great album?

1960s-70s-80s-90s-00s-10s. So a small 50-year window (which has good and bad decades within it, but overall a collective half-century that was different from what came before and what is to come).

Before 1960 or after 2010 = garbage or too folksy.
50s America would've been PFG for whites.

I was just trying to have a little fun with the thread name, but if we're gonna be all literal, it's a retrospective -- not a greatest hits.

Neil Young only cracked the Top 100 about ten times total his entire career, and most of them aren't even included on the album. Plus the song I mentioned was unreleased and pretty much only exists on "Decade".
