WWAW buttering hotdog rolls?

This is something that can really upset my afternoon.

Ever grabbed yourself a hotdog at a BBQ and found the roll was buttered? It's horrible. Why do people do this? The butter isn't needed when there's tomato ketchup and BBQ sauce available. And it's always hotdogs this happens to - I've never seen this done with hamburgers, so why just hotdog rolls?

It must be some British thing, because I refuse to believe Americans do this.

I've never encountered that in my life. I just ate two hotdogs. I'm out of mustard and corn relish and all the good shit so I just put Sriracha and sub sauce on it. PFG. Also, I steam the buns because I'm not a queer.
