They're one of those bands where if the ingredients are just right, as in 'If You're Feeling Sinister', they're fucking sublime. But a tad too twee or quirky and they grate on me no end.

Meanwhile, there's some artists where you just enjoy their music no matter which direction they go in or whichever side of their sound they're playing to.
