The Witch is one of my favorites movies from the past decade. Lighthouse...was a bit much but still engaging enough, and it looked great.
So I will give this a shot. It may turn out to be one of those films that gets people into theaters based on a trailer only to deliver something completely different from a run-of-the-mill action/revenge story.

This fucking story has been told literally thousands of times. I'm sick of it. Everything from Disney kiddie cartoons, to its Marvel, to the cartoon female villains being re-realized as anti-heroes, all the way to "serious fare" like Promising Young Woman, Mad Max, to fuck... name it. It seems like every other movie has this theme.
