I've noticed that American Christians will do this thing where they'll hand you a coupon book or a fashion magazine, but once you open it, it's actually a book about Jesus and how you need to be saved and salvation, etc.
I've also had co-workers start a conversation with me under the guise of sports or something, and then they'll randomly break into how I need to accept Jesus into my life and how I'm living a life of sin.
This is not some uncommon thing, I run into it maybe every 2 months or so.
Now I'm someone very open to and interested in religion, so I wouldn't mind someone telling me about these things. But what bothers me is just the underhanded way they do it, why would you try and trick someone into reading or hearing about your religion? Christianity is not some obscure persecuted cult, if you want to tell someone about it you can do so in an open and direct way.
