A forum full of incel nazi's, denying climate change
Singing the praises of the Third Reich?
Your overt racism and pandemic misinformation is going to lead you down an empty black hole into obscurity
This CHILDish nonsense is only entertainment for an incel child.
You want to tell me Apolstlegate was funny? That Patrick S. Tomlinson is fat? I won't argue.
But to stoke the flames of facism in the name of a dead radio show?
That's one situation I won't tell you where I'm at with.

Wait a second. Were you in Phil Collins’ band? How old are you?

Well, if indeed I AM Ray Wilson, freshly 53 years old, born and raised in Dumfries, Scotland, and currently residing in the lovely city of Poznan in the land of my lovely woman, Gosia, and of Stiltskin and cut_ fame, I guess I'll share my story here... Again.*

I was not in the band when Phil was there. He officially left in '96 - a certain dry-witted keyboardist, who shall remain nameless, told me the writing had been on the wall since '94, though - and the remaining members, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks, began searching for a new singer. They heard my Stiltskin single, "Inside", and their management reached out to me.

Keep in mind, I was never a big fan of Genesis growing up. By the time I was playing music, they had long transitioned from Progressive to borderline Pop, and when they caught mainstream attention, it was for "Invisible Touch"... Not my cup of tea. However, when I started preparing for my first tryout, I went and picked up every album, old and new. I was floored by their 70's material, especially the Peter Gabriel era, and I immediately became committed to doing my damnedest to nail the gig.

And somehow I got it. I won't kid myself, from day one I was hired help. I was probably never going to be an equal partner in their eyes, but I will say they did support me during the first leg of the tour in Europe. It's when the US tour was cancelled for low ticket sales, and album sales in general disappointed, that things began to bottom out.

Once we finished the Calling All Stations tour, and a bittersweet last talk with everyone as we all head to our respective homes, I get a call from Tony Banks later in the year. He at least has the courtesy to tell me what I had already been hearing as rumours - the band was over. I was in effect out of a job, my rising star post-Stiltskin plummeted, and I went through a rough few years after it, losing my house, my passion with music for a time, you name it.

So yeah, that's my story.

*In theory, due to the volatility of this websites reputation, you could say, IN THEORY, I have an agreement with my management, who may or may not be aware I come on here, that I neither confirm nor deny that I am truly 'that man' for my own careers safety. Maybe I am Ray Wilson, who's newest album, The Weight of Man, is one sale now, and will resume touring with his band on February 3 in Ebersberg, Germany. Allegedly.

That’s wild. I thought you were in a grunge band in the 90’s for some reason. I know someone who saw him recently and he could barely walk.

Oh, believe you me - even in Poland, I'll get at least one person a night mention Phil Collins to me. Such is what I get for playing their music to this day - which I enjoy doing, thank you very much - but I'm used to it now.

I'll make jokes about him for a loff on here, but honest truth to everyone: I have never heard much negative about Phil. Tony and Mike clearly loved the guy, and shared some great stories of their days in the band. Many blokes I've met in the industry through my travels have shared many a kind word, too. And I can say, if you ever listen to his Jazz Fusion albums with Brand X, his drumming is absolutely superb.

I wish no ill towards him, and it's an absolute shame seeing him stripped of his god given talent. Steve sent me a video of their performance somewhere in America, where they did an early Genesis medley, and the poor bastard struggled with his voice. Call me a tosser if you wish, I became emotionally overwhelmed. Losing my ability to sing with full capability scares the ever-living Fuck out of me. It would be worse than not being able to play the guitar anymore.

Jagger was right, "What a drag it is getting old".
