The Saturn's failure doomed the Dreamcast. Still a little pissed at Sega tpbrhonestwichya.
I remember getting my DC and first playing something online. I couldn't believe I was playing some dude in another state. It was so laggy but it was normal for the time. No mics, so shit talking had to be done on a keyboard, at the pause screen. I didn't have a computer capable of playing online games back then so the DC was revolutionary to me.

Then I found out I could use the web browser to look at porn. I never wanted to leave my room again.

Emulation has gotten way better. My phone can emulate PS2 games as of recent with a new emulator that hit the android app store recently. That includes it already being able to do PS1 Dreamcast and other older systems just fine.

Yaba Sanshiro is the best Saturn emulator. If you have a decent smartphone and a Bluetooth controller you can play Saturn games all day. If you don't you can find the same emulator for your computer and play on there.

Still gotta download the ROMS and stuff though.

I always wanted a Sega Saturn. More for the arcade ports of Metal Slug, X-Men COTA & the Vs. Street Fighter series (The PS1 ports stink). This is before I discovered MAME.

I finally got to play Fighters Megamix, through a emulator. Great game.

I enjoy my Sega Dreamcast. Was the first retro console I bought years ago when I got back into collecting. Don't own one original game but I downloaded then burned a few dozen to cd-r's and they play perfectly in it.
