That’s why the current state “comedy” is awful. You have new comedians who don’t even tell jokes and aren’t concerned with getting laughs. It’s all far left liberals that get on stage to parrot left wing talking points for cheap pops / applause. It’s virtue signaling people desperate for attention and know they can get praise from audiences who are afraid they will be called racist if you don’t cheer. It’s like how Mick Foley used to do the “cheap pop” in wrestling by getting a crowd to cheer just by saying the city name. These “comics” just get on stage and cry about republicans, call them Nazi’s, then yell BLACK LIVES MATTER and the audience cheers like trained seals due to peer pressure. That way if you don’t cheer over tired left wing ideas you will get judged and called out for being a bad person. “Why aren’t you cheering, do YOU think Black Lives DONT Matter?!?! Are you a right wing NAZI or something?!?!?!” Is now something a “comedian” would get away with on stage.
