I’ve heard some crazy ones of the years - a girl named Hyundai, a young boy named Outlaw, but what’s the worst? Or maybe a popular one that’s awful? Personally I think “Neveah” is the worst - it’s heaven spelled backwards and I’ve seen it used more than once.

On a personal note though, years ago I was at a fast food restaurant with my then girlfriend who is also Greek and the cashier had a name tag on with the name of Malakia I started snickering and said to my girl in Greek look at her name. She noticed and started smiling too. When we went to our table we started laughing. Her name in Greek means "to jerk off" we figured her dad was a dishwasher in a Greek diner and was called that name a lot.

Living in SoCal, I run into a lot of ”new age” black people – a few extra IQ points and an obsession with conspiracies. One family I knew had a kid with the number 3 in their name; no, not the third or the word three, the numeral. I'm not even sure of the legality of it or what was on the birth certificate, but the explanation given by the father was something like, it represents 1) knowing your ancestors, 2) being one with the present, and 3) knowing yourself.

The mother also let her other kid make up his own last name since the baby daddy wasn't around. Both kids were also behind a grade in school (ya kiddin).

I was watching Denver play some high school team last weekend and I saw a guy named Lil'Jordan. I thought it was a nickname but it's his legal name. Made me loff. I looked it up on Google to verify and then I find this article written by a man named Panama Jackson.

I have no idea what her name was, but on the first day of a temp agency job they told us to send them an email with our name in the subject line and our documents attached. This girl said my name wouldn't fit so I used an abbreviation. How many characters is that? She also couldn't pronounce abbreviation.
