What would happen is obvious. At most industrial and trade jobs you work 40 hours with lost time at the beginning and end of the day so you're productive for 30 hours, With the 32 hour week and hour lost each day you'd work like 24 so productivity would dive 20% and costs rise 20% which would necessitate more immigrants. The best plan would be 4, 10 hour days and small raise in productive hours would occur. In exchange you'd have 3 days off.
