since people are mention old shows now, I'll tell you one of my favourite things ever: Cracker (the ITV series with Robbie Coltrane).

it mostly holds-up except you notice the change in expected attention span, you really need to put your phone down & just go with it - some seems like a slow-build but it's always worth it.

it's worth watching in order because there are sub-plots which grow throughout

I'll admit to shedding a tear at a couple of points

I recently watched a show called Severance and it was pretty good.

As far as actual excitement it might go back to the initial run of Trailer Park Boys seasons 1-7. Used to watch new episodes with my friend every week back in high school and loved it at the time.
