Lots of subreddits end up turning on their subjects, look at adamcarolla, samandtolki, or tfatk. It's sort of interesting how common it is, or at least as interesting as that sort of thing can get. Lots of times they just slowly get infiltrated by hate-watching "average redditors" that never really enjoyed the thing in the first place, though. r/o&a definitely have, or at least had, a few of those.
