I think it's pretty clear the Dale simply sat in that chair waiting for "the return". Without his physical body he doesn't really have any needs, and while I'm sure his perception of time was still there, interdimensional beings only seem to be impatient or tied in anyway to time when something is happening on earth where time seems much more concrete and consequential. Also, even though he's just a dumb chipmunk, I'm sure he missed his brother Chip a lot who likely died of old age early into Dales stay at the lodge.

It's not only unfunny, it's beyond hack. "A character in one show has the same first name as a character in another show!" And it's not even an uncommon name. These redditors are the same people who shit on Garfield and Facebook memes for being boomer and unfunny, when they're even worse.

Most people aren't very funny, brothaman. It's hardly worth pointing out. I've laughed harder here than anywhere else I've found online and there's still lots of people who aren't particularly funny but they have cool shit to say or they give me ribs and cols so they're good guys.
