They have a resentencing hearing scheduled for January. About a decade ago, I started reading about the case again and I told my gf that they would eventually get out. Not sure why I thought that, but I did. She thought I was crazy as they really didn't have many appeals left as they had already been in prison for 25 years.
In any event, the Netflix show was gay. Most of the documentaries on them are gay. Maybe dad needed a contact shot to the back of his head (his brain was eviscerated and it fell on the floor when they were transporting him on a gurney), but killing the mom was a bit much- their reasoning at the time was that she wouldn't be able to live without their father, so they reunited them in the afterlife.
It's an interesting case because guys usually don't get consideration in legal matters when it comes to domestic violence/sexual abuse. There's really no battered man syndrome defense--
I don't think they would commit a violent crime if they were released, but I can sure as shit see them grifting and committing financial crimes-- it's a tough one man.
As an aside, Lyle (the older one) ditched his prison wife of 20 years for a British girl he met that was a member of his Facebook group that his wife had curated. She's 20 (about to turn 21) and Reddit and all the weirdos on social media that are infatuated with the brothers are not happy.
