Didn't like it when I saw it. Keith the Meter Maid's uncle is the main villain in it. Movie glosses over them being involved in selling, let's just say, films that would be a big hit with SFWA types.

Some cringey scenes, but Ray Liotta is great as always RIP and Winona looks fine as fuck. She really comes across as a crazy lady who took too many pills in Stranger Things but this is a couple years before that and you barely notice the twitching.

I fucking hate movies about one mobster because its always the fakest hokiest shit overblowing their role. The Irishman was based entirely on lies and becomes Forrest Gump shlock. This looks the same. Kuklinski lied about like 95% of the shit he did. Goodfellas was the only one to do it good

The scene I was watching ended when Iceman pulled out a gun and pointed it at Prongay's head, ordering him to not run over the 17-year-old. Prongay called his bluff and kept driving towards her, so Iceman shot out the window which made Prongay know he was serious and pull over the truck.
It's like the shit you expect on NCIS or The Blacklist. I have a moral code, and you're not gonna run over that minor with your ice cream truck!

So he's out with Winona and daughters, sees a Mister Softee truck and loses focus, rear-ends another driver. The other driver screams "fuck you and your family" so naturally Iceman has to car chase him down an alley with Winona & the kids screaming STOP YOU'RE A MONSTER! the whole time. But then there's traffic so Iceman immediately ceases his bloodlust rage and Winona comforts the kids.

Michael Shannon. He's great in everything he does. He did a small movie called Take Shelter that I'd recommend to anyone. Great film. Maybe not one for Bam or anyone struggling with schizophrenia though.

Every Hollywood movie that is "based on a true story" is based on lies. It's what they love to do, and not just in movies (The Irishman, The Hurricane, ad infinitum) but in their "True Stories" about nigger saints (George Floyd, Michael Brown the gentle giant, Trayvon the innocent kid, Brionna Taylor the "nurse," etc.) and evil Whites (Hitler on down).
They do it with society ("that man is a woman," "trans stuff and abortions are healthcare," "clump of cells," "paid work is exploitation," etc.) and they do it with religion ("We're the chosen people," "we used to live in Israel," etc.)
Really makes you think.
