I had a conversation with a girl in her 20's about this Elvis music disgrace.....she was telling me how she watches some medevil show on Netflix and all the music is in classical violin, but to the tune of Taylor Swift and Ed Shereen songs. "It's great because I can watch the show and hear my favorite music!"

I'd never been closer to just smashing my head on a table.
You tried smashing hers?

It’s good if you’ve got 90 mins to spare. Tounge in cheek, made on the cheap but the guy that wrote it knows his shit (except where he leans into the whole Elvis would talk to his dead twin horseshit) but it’s a nice time killer.

I don’t really think I’ve ever seen a really great biopic on any musician tobehonestwitcha. Maybe The Temptations flick if only for the guy that plays David Ruffin who’s a riot.

In the end I just go back to the music, that’s what lingers on.

Oh unrelated but Kirsten Dunst made my middle school pecka hard in that flick.

Temptations was good if a bit cheesy. I remember laughing my balls off when the one guy wheels into the kitchen for the corn bread then just died off screen. But it definitely showed all these guys various problems

The Meat Loaf movie where he's played by Warren from There's Something About Mary is pretty great for how hilariously shitty it is and the fact that it's impossible to not see him as a retard who doesn't like his ears touched.
I like him as an actor. He was good in Deadwood

The 60's part of Love & Mercy and the second season of the Wu-Tang show were great.
Yeah Love and Mercy was decent but pretty unremarkable overall. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not seen the Wu Tang series but have read it’s good.

I grew up on shit like La Bamba but even that now is something to laugh at (not the deaths but Esai Morales’ rule is hysterical.)

Another low budget flick to watch if you’ve got time is Birth Of The Beatles. This is the only bio made while Lennon was alive. Pete Best was the technical advisor so he had himself portrayed as some Neil Peart-esque powerhouse that was fired out of jealousy.

I thought this had a chance to be OK. Iconic figure, unqiue story. Simple fucking Biopic, about all Hollywood can handle these days.

You got Tom Hanks....who's as good an actor as there is. Lets see how they do...

It wasn't that bad, but it was fucking bad. I hate Hollywood jews so much. What ruined it for me is all the slow motion takes of Elvis walking around while they play fucking Doja Cat in the backround and other modern day rap songs in the sounds track.

What the fuck is the thinking behind this? Fucking money? Kikes!

The whole point of the movie and the mans life is the fucking MUSIC. You have Elvis and fucking BB King in the story. 2 legends. Why the fuck are you not using THEIR OWN FUCKING MUSIC IN THE SOUNDTRACK??????

Holy shit. I was enjoying watching it until these songs started playing and I wanted to throw a brick through my TV.

1/5 stars. Just because of that.
I cried watching Barbie and Inside Out. Hollywood makes some really good shit.

Inside Out got me too, I'm not even kidding. I was insanely depressed at the time, but still. I don't even know what compelled me to watch it. Fuckin Bing Bong, man.
I had to watch it with a class full of kindergarteners at work. And as a rule I never let a kid see me cry unless its graduation. I had to like, go in the corner and pretend to do something.

It wasn't great. Neither was the Priscilla movie. It takes a special level of talent to take such an interesting story with such interesting characters and make it so bland.
It really was trash. Just goes to prove that you can jam pack a movie with leading actors, dump tens or hundreds of millions of promotional $ and it can all be a complete waste of time and money with a garbage script and/or director.
